Kingdom Protista

The Kingdom Protista is a grab bag of all of the things biologists don't know what to do with. There have been several attempts to make sense of this mess but so far there isn't one widely accepted system. I follow the "traditional" approach here with brown algae, green algae, red algae, dinoflagellates, diatoms, and "protozoa".
